Juneteenth On St Cloud is Nashville’s official Juneteenth celebration commemorating the importance of the last state being freed in the United States of America which was Texas, officially ending slavery two and a half years after President Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation.  This event is for the Nashville community and communities across America, highlighting the progress of this city and other cities since the 19th of June 1865 and encouraging a continued journey to freedom for all Americans.  Juneteenth focuses on the impact the emancipation has had on communities educationally, socially, culturally, politically, and historically.  We encourage people from all backgrounds and corners of the world to come celebrate one of America's most historic moments moving the world closer to true equality and true freedom for all.  Help us celebrate this day all week long by enjoying music, art, exercises, dance, forums, workshops, supporting local businesses and much more.
