The mission of Juneteenth615 is have an annual celebration commemorating the freedom of African Americans and to educate the community about the meaning of freedom.

 

The vision is to provide opportunities for education, awareness, unity, diversity and community to the people of Nashville. Juneteenth615 will connect with local businesses and community organizations to provide forums, art shows, community gatherings, various workshops, music, and entertainment in the city with an end goal of stimulating positive thoughts and conversations that will lead to actions that help move us forward as a community.

 

The theme for this year’s celebration is Freedom of Voice: Freeing our voices educationally, socially, culturally, historically, and holistically. The celebration will include a week-long schedule of events aimed at addressing the theme.
